What a lovely cover… Every time my daughters petition to read this book (which is pretty much daily lately) I linger over it… there’s no way to not sound all artsy about it, but it’s all about the formal qualities - Perfect composition, bright pastel palette with carefully chosen pop colors, great type. I especially like the stark profile of Cinderella in flat colors, like a cross between an comic and a figure on an Egyptian frieze. Even the Disney’s Wonderful World of Reading logo is sharp.
